Football Recap: Madison Marlins vs. Waltrip Rams
Madison fell victim to Waltrip and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Waltrip Rams on the road and fell 31-0. The shutout was out of character for the Marlins seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
Madison wouldn't let Waltrip keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Madison can thank Danzell Bloodworth and Handsom Dillon for forcing both of them.
Madison is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Waltrip, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Madison will welcome Sharpstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sharpstown is coming into the matchup with three straight victories on the road, so Madison will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Waltrip, they will venture away from home to square off against Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sterling knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Waltrip likes a good challenge.
