Recap: Crossland Cavaliers vs. Douglass Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Crossland Cavaliers, who are still winless after their 12th game. They took a serious blow against Douglass on Thursday, falling 81-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Crossland has scored all season.
Douglass got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ke Milton out in front who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Lewis, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Crossland dropped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Douglass, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.
Crossland will be playing in front of their home fans against Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Largo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Crossland likes a good challenge. As for Douglass, they will head out on the road to challenge Fairmont Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairmont Heights has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 702 points over their last ten contests.
