Volleyball Recap: Emmerson Haskins and Brianna Paul Secure Win for Circle

Circle won the last time they faced Riley County and Cate Rogers did her part to make sure it happened again. The Thunderbirds won by a set and slipped past the Falcons 2-1 with plenty of help from Rogers, who had 39 assists and ten digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Circle had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Circle was led to victory by Brianna Paul and Emmerson Haskins. Paul had nine digs and two aces, while Haskins had eight digs. The dominant performance also gave Paul a new career-high in kills (two).

When it comes to explaining why Riley County lost on Saturday, don't look at Preslee Colby. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

Circle has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Riley County, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 14-6 record.
