Recap: Marian Catholic vs. Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions

Marian Catholic lost against the Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Marian Catholic had to suffer through a rough 74-41 loss at the hands of Lincoln Leadership Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marian Catholic has scored all season.

Marian Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Miller, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Miller has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bruce Hopeck, who scored four points along with five rebounds.

Marian Catholic's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marian Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mahanoy Area at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. Mahanoy Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Marian Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Roberto Clemente Charter School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Roberto Clemente Charter School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 710th, while Lincoln Leadership Academy is ranked 229th).
