Norwayne won the last time they faced Wickliffe and CJ Moore did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blue Devils on Tuesday for which the team can thank Moore, who had eight aces and six digs. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Norwayne took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-8, 25-8.
Meanwhile, Lake Catholic got the win against Tuslaw on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-10.
Norwayne better keep an eye on Ava Starr. She was instrumental in Lake Catholic's win, getting six digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Starr a new career-high. Lola Loncar was another key player, getting 14 digs and five aces.
Lake Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Norwayne's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Lake Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Norwayne has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.8 aces per game.
