Basketball Recap: Marysville Getchell Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Marysville Getchell extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Arion Palacol. Marysville Getchell blew past the Stanwood Spartans 58-38 on Friday thanks in part to Palacol, who went 8 for 15 en route to 20 points and five boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Marysville Getchell's points.

Zach Rice was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Despite the loss, Stanwood still got an impressive performance from Cole Williams, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 18 points along with seven boards and five assists. Williams has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Edlund, who posted nine points.

Marysville Getchell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Stanwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
