Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short

Mt. Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marion Wildcats. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Marion, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Mt. Vernon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Salem on the 22nd. As for Marion, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Meridian on the 20th.
