McKenzie took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Houston County with a sharp 11-4 victory. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Fighting Irish recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

For Houston County's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Forrester, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Houston County and nudges their season record down to 4-7. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for McKenzie, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
