Softball Recap: Culver Community Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Culver Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on the Caston Comets with a sharp 12-2 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cavaliers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Aiden Molebash spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Abigayle Zehner, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Gracie Milam was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Culver Community's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Caston, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Culver Community will welcome Tri-Township at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Caston, they will be playing at home against Kokomo at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
