Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Gilbert Christian's 13th in Last 15 Outings

There's no place like home for Gilbert Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Northwest Christian Crusaders by a score of 46-38 on Thursday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 49-43 victory back in January.

Leading Gilbert Christian to victory were Kaila Aston and Addie Hansen. Aston dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds, while Hansen went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Those five assists gave Hansen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Cervantez, who posted no points and five steals.

Gilbert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Northwest Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-12.

As of now, neither Gilbert Christian nor Northwest Christian have any future games scheduled.
