Basketball Recap: Palm Beach Lakes Find Success

Boca Raton came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Palm Beach Lakes, but Ajyah Haywood wouldn't allow it. The Palm Beach Lakes Rams took down the Boca Raton Bobcats 66-50 on Thursday thanks in part to Haywood, who went 10 of 17 on her way to 27 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Azaria Hammond, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 16 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Palm Beach Lakes now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Boca Raton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Seminole Ridge the next time they take the court. Palm Beach Lakes will host Seminole Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Boca Raton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
