Soccer Game Preview: Granger vs. Maple Mountain

The Granger Lancers are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Granger will be strutting in after a victory while Maple Mountain will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Granger narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Provo 3-2.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Maple Mountain was not quite East's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Leopards by a score of 2-1. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Corbin Gardner, which was the first he's scored this season.

Maple Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Granger, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
