Baseball Recap: Liberty Common Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Liberty Common had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 9-1 to the Lyons Lions on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Owen Hood made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Liberty Common didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 defeat against Dawson School on the 11th. Lyons will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Forge Christian at 3:30 p.m. on March 25th.
