Anselmo-Merna had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past the Paxton Tigers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 52-38. For the Coyotes, this counts as revenge for the 46-19 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Paxton still got an impressive performance from Maddex McConnell, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.
