 In what's become a running theme this season, Palmerton gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tamaqua Blue Raiders  a   10-0 shutout. The  win was familiar territory for Palmerton who now have four in a row.
  CARLY GAFFNEY was a major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over five innings pitched. GAFFNEY was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  MEGAN MATSKO was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  triple the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  SYDNEY FRANTZ, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Palmerton's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Tamaqua, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
 Palmerton has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Bangor at 6:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Palmerton knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy  run totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Bangor likes a good challenge. As for Tamaqua, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Lehighton at 4:00  p.m. Tamaqua is facing Lehighton at the right time seeing as Lehighton is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
