Soccer Game Preview: South Hills vs. Aledo

The South Hills Scorpions will venture away from home to take on the Aledo Bearcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

South Hills' tournament run continued when they took on Keller Central on Saturday. South Hills came up short against Keller Central, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Chargers are ranked tenth).

South Hills' goal came courtesy of Abigail Gonzalez, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, everything went Aledo's way against Burleson on Saturday as Aledo made off with a 5-1 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-1.

South Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Aledo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

South Hills suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Aledo in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can South Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
