While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Wickliffe was not quite Kirtland's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2. Wickliffe's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Ava McGarry and Gwen Reynolds scored both of Wickliffe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Wickliffe's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Kirtland, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.
