Jackson Academy picks up tenth straight win at home

In what's become a running theme this season, the Jackson Academy Raiders gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They really took it to St. Joseph Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-36 win at home. The victory was nothing new for Jackson Academy as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcus Goodloe, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Schyler Chambers, who scored 11 points.

Jackson Academy's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.9 points. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 20-4 record this season.

Jackson Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Madison Central at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Madison Central is ranked 18th, while Jackson Academy is ranked sixth). As for St. Joseph Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Hartfield Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
