Baseball Recap: Montbello Takes a Loss

The Montbello Warriors came up short against the Thomas Jefferson Spartans on Tuesday, falling 9-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Derek Alvidrez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI. Sean Dammond also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Montbello's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Thomas Jefferson, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Looking ahead, Montbello will host Denver East at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomas Jefferson, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-3 defeat against Golden on the 9th.
