Preview: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Warren Warriors
Shenandoah is 0-4 against Warren since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Shenandoah Zeps will head out on the road to face off against the Warren Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Shenandoah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Warren is ranked 46th).
Last Thursday, Shenandoah didn't have too much trouble with Buckeye Trail at home as they won 52-34.
Shenandoah's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kadence Noll led the charge by scoring ten points along with four steals. Noll has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emmie House, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Warren scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Nelsonville-York on the road to the tune of 74-43. Warren has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.
Shenandoah has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Warren, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Shenandoah suffered a grim 76-56 defeat to Warren when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Shenandoah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
