Softball Recap: Julian Eagles vs. Borrego Springs Rams
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Julian and Borrego Springs have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Eagles blew past the Rams 17-4. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Hailey Bennett made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. Bennett was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

In other batting news, Avalina Magante-Ortiz was a standout: she fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Charlee Sparks was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
