Donavan Tanouye leads Paw Paw to victory over Calvary Christian Academy

The Paw Paw Pirates won the last time they faced Calvary Christian Academy, and things went their way on Monday too. Paw Paw came out on top against Calvary Christian Academy by a score of 57-48. Given Paw Paw's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 70th in West Virginia, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 223rd in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Donavan Tanouye, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The matchup was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Crabtree, who scored 14 points.

The victory makes it two in a row for Paw Paw and bumps their season record up to 8-4. As for Calvary Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paw Paw will square off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Cumberland Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
