Baseball Recap: North Bay Haven Academy Takes a Loss

If North Bay Haven Academy was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of McKenzie on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers fell just short of the Montgomery Catholic Knights by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.

Jackson Shoults made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Jack Peaden, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

North Bay Haven Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Montgomery Catholic, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-10-1.

Coming up, North Bay Haven Academy will square off against Hooper Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Montgomery Catholic, they will face off against Tallassee at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tallassee knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Montgomery Catholic likes a good challenge.
