Baseball Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. Clear Creek Golddiggers

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals will square off against the Clear Creek Golddiggers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Arrupe Jesuit's offense. They came up short against Bennett on Wednesday, falling 17-0.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek came up short against Dayspring Christian Academy on Thursday and fell 4-1.

Arrupe Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Clear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Arrupe Jesuit has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Clear Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Arrupe Jesuit might still be hurting after the 16-2 loss they got from Clear Creek in their previous meeting back in June of 2021. Can the Generals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
