The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mexico, who took down 163rd ranked Fulton, 21-0.
Kirksville's Blake Riley rumbled for the longest rushing play in North Central Missouri this season in his game against Trenton last week. Riley ran for 68 yards on the play and finished with 281 on the day as his team topped the Bulldogs.
Riley was a beast in the backfield as Kirksville defeated Trenton.
Riley provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tigers defeated Wes Croy's team. Riley's favorite target this week was Nathan Farnsworth, who caught 4 passes for 54 yards.
Makenna Cook and Riley gave Kirksville a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Cook threw for 75 yards and 1 touchdown, while Riley ran for 281 yards. Teammate Cook added to the ground attack by rushing for 26 yards.
The Hornets' Joe Schlemeier and Chris Tilson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Schlemeier has thrown for 1,788 yards this season, while Tilson has 40 catches for 716 yards. Riley from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 826 yards.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Fulton and Kirksville face off next week.
A big matchup in North Central Missouri this week will be when Moberly takes on the Bulldogs. The Spartans are in first place, while Mexico is in fifth place.
There should be lots of points scored when Pat Kelley's team and the Tigers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Hornets comes in having scored 260 this season, while Kirksville has scored 210. Fulton scored 0 points last week as it fell to Nick Hoth's team.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Moberly takes on the Bulldogs. Jason Ambroson's team has allowed 100 points this season, while Mexico has given up 122.
The Spartans extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Boonville, 38-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for Moberly.
