Soccer Game Preview: Cocke County vs. Seymour

The Cocke County Fighting Cocks will face off against the Seymour Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Cocke County needed a bit of extra time to put away Austin-East. Their defense stepped up to hand the Roadrunners a 1-0 shutout. Cocke County haven't had any issues with Austin-East recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Seymour's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Northview Academy by a score of 3-1.

Cocke County pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those six contests. As for Seymour, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Cocke County took their victory against Seymour in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 6-1 score. Will the Fighting Cocks repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
