Recap: Loranger Wolves vs. Salmen Spartans
The Loranger Wolves lost against the Salmen Spartans back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Loranger took a serious blow against Salmen, falling 48-21. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Loranger in their matchups with Salmen: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Jacobi Jefferson , who rushed for 158 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaileb Rayford, who gained 170 total yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Salmen's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Dwayne Hartley was the leader with two sacks.
Loranger's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Salmen, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Loranger does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Salmen will be playing in front of their home fans against West Ouachita at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (West Ouachita is ranked 93rd, while Salmen is ranked 84th).
