Football Game Preview: Winter Park Wildcats vs. Boone Braves + How To Watch

Winter Park is 7-1 against Boone since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to challenge the Braves at 7:00 p.m.

Winter Park is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Edgewater just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 28-21 to the Eagles.

Despite the defeat, Winter Park saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elijah Nickerson rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 136 yards and one TD on only ten passes. The Wildcats also got help from Sebastian Lora, who showed off his sure hands for 107 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Boone strolled into their game last Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over Timber Creek. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Braves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Wolves are ranked 294th).

Boone's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Winter Park, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Winter Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Boone in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 35-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
