Timothy Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Metuchen Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Metuchen took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Timothy Christian, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Timothy Christian strolled past Carteret with points to spare, taking the game 62-47.
Meanwhile, Metuchen pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 78-62 to Spotswood. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Metuchen in their matchups with Spotswood: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite their defeat, Metuchen saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Cameron Hayes-durina, who scored 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. Ben Santus was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Timothy Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Metuchen, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Everything came up roses for Timothy Christian against Metuchen in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 77-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timothy Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
