Westosha Central had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 9-10 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Badger Badgers with a sharp 11-1 victory. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Badgers on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Joe Suokko made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Westosha Central is 4-2 when Suokko allows three or fewer earned runs, but 5-8 otherwise. Suokko was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Everett Lucero was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Nottingham, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Westosha Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

As for Badger, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-6 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 16th.

On Badger's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Stewart, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Trent Ertmann also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Westosha Central and Badger should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Falcons will face off against Beloit Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (132 vs. 300). Meanwhile, Badger (ranked 24th) will meet Wilmot (ranked 205th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
