Soccer Game Preview: Berrien Springs vs. Dowagiac

The Berrien Springs Shamrocks will take on the Dowagiac Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Berrien Springs' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Berrien Springs' win against Brandywine wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Shamrocks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Bobcats on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Berrien Springs have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Dowagiac lost 6-3 to Three Rivers on Friday. Dowagiac have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berrien Springs pushed their record up to 7-3-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Dowagiac, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
