Softball Recap: Port St. Lucie Takes a Loss

Port St. Lucie lost against Central back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jaguars lost 21-6 to the Cobras. That's two games in a row now that the Jaguars have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Mia Torres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shawna Caswell, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Port St. Lucie and nudges their season record down to 6-11-1. As for Central, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

Coming up, Port St. Lucie will be playing in front of their home fans against Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
