Softball Recap: Edmonds-Woodway's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Edmonds-Woodway and Roosevelt squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Edmonds-Woodway had to settle for second. They came up short against the Roughriders, falling 14-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since April 2nd.

Neva Cheeney was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Catie Ingalls, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Edmonds-Woodway's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Edmonds-Woodway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roosevelt, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Stanwood on the 23rd.
