Baseball Game Preview: Naples Big Green Machines vs. South Seneca Falcons

The Naples Big Green Machines will square off against the South Seneca Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Naples' hitters has struggled lately (they haven't scored a run in three consecutive games), something the team is no doubt ready to change.

Naples fell victim to East Rutherford and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 17-0.

Meanwhile, South Seneca didn't have quite enough to beat Red Jacket on Friday and fell 4-2. The Falcons have struggled against Red Jacket recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

South Seneca saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Sapio, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

South Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Naples, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Naples skirted past South Seneca 8-7 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Big Green Machines repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
