Baseball Game Preview: Bardstown Tigers vs. Washington County Commanders

For the second straight game, Bardstown will face off against Washington County. The Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Commanders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bardstown is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, Bardstown didn't have quite enough to beat Washington County and fell 4-3.

For Washington County's part, Camden Abell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. Abell is becoming a predictor of the Commanders' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 5-11 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Washington County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dax Humes, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Humes has posted since back in March.

With the victory, Washington County broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Bardstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12-1.
