NCISAA Carolina Piedmont recap September 24, 2013
Christ School moved up to 213 from 239 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in NCISAA Carolina Piedmont. The Greenies climbed the ranks as a result of topping Hendersonville 20-14.
SouthLake Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hickory Grove Christian, 43-39. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
The Lions' dynamic duo of Bruce Dixon and Keyshawn Allen proved tough for Geoff O'Donnell's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dixon threw for 348 yards and 5 touchdowns and Allen had 146 yards receiving. Bryson Allen helped Hickory Grove Christian's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 71 yards.
Hickory Grove Christian's dynamic duo of Dixon and Allen proved to be unstoppable against SouthLake Christian Academy, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Dixon put up the best numbers in passing as Jamie Craft's team lost to SouthLake Christian Academy.
Allen was the best receiver in the league this week as the Lions lost to SouthLake Christian Academy.
Ellis Pace was a force in the backfield as Christ School defeated the Bearcats.
He went 21-44 with 2 interceptions.
William Lloyd was a key player and the best on defense this week as Hickory Grove Christian lost to SouthLake Christian Academy. The 5-foot-5 sophomore.
Pace was the best running back in NCISAA Carolina Piedmont this week. He ran for 263 yards on 35 carries as Mark Moroz's team fell to SouthLake Christian Academy. Stephen Fletcher also contributed to the rushing game with 49 yards on the ground.
6-foot-4 quarterback Dixon of Hickory Grove Christian is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,118. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is DJ FOSTER. The Concord First Assembly Academy star has 16 catches for 316 yards.
The Greenies are in third place, while Concord First Assembly Academy is in fourth place.
Christ School made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,109 from 8,248. The improvement came about via a 20-14 victory over Hendersonville last week.
