Baseball Game Preview: Beaver Dam Golden Beavers vs. Slinger Owls

Beaver Dam is a perfect 4-0 against Slinger since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Beavers will take on the Owls at 1:00 p.m. Beaver Dam is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Beaver Dam is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against West Bend West by a score of 10-5. Beaver Dam's victory was all the more impressive since the Spartans were averaging only 3.73 runs allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Slinger faced Watertown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Owls walked away with a 7-3 win over the Goslings.

Chase Leverance was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May. Another player making a difference was Cooper Williams, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Slinger was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Slinger's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Beaver Dam, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.

Beaver Dam took their victory against Slinger in their previous matchup back in April of 2017 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Golden Beavers repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
