Oconee County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Sandy Creek Patriots with a sharp 9-1 victory on Monday. Oconee County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by three goals or more this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Oconee County, bringing their record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Sandy Creek, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-2 record.

Looking ahead, Oconee County will head out on the road to face off against Whitewater at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whitewater will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Oconee County surely won't give up without a fight. Sandy Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
