Basketball Recap: Aubrey Takes a Loss

Aubrey won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Panther Creek Panthers and fell 65-26. The Chaparrals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

Addy Cagle was Aubrey's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Abby Buxton held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Aubrey has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Panther Creek, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lake Dallas the next time they take the court. Aubrey will head out to face Lake Dallas at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Panther Creek will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
