Springfield is a perfect 6-0 against Champaign Central since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Senators will look to defend their home pitch against the Maroons at 6:00 p.m. Springfield knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Champaign Central likes a good challenge.

Springfield's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Jacksonville. Springfield haven't had any issues with Jacksonville recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Springfield hit Jacksonville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kamryn Hoffman (2), Bridget Lyons (2), Ainsley Lambert (2), and Addie Maddox.

Meanwhile, Champaign Central didn't have quite enough to beat Mahomet-Seymour on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The loss put an end to Champaign Central's undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Champaign Central fell to 3-1. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything went Springfield's way against Champaign Central when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Springfield made off with a 4-0 win. Will the Senators repeat their success, or do the Maroons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
