Basketball Recap: Hamilton Gets the Win

Hamilton proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 35) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Divine Savior Holy Angels 57-54. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Divine Savior Holy Angels are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Divine Savior Holy Angels, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will be home for the holidays to greet New Berlin Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. New Berlin Eisenhower will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Divine Savior Holy Angels, they will welcome Germantown at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th.
