Texas pledge threw for 356 yards and seven touchdowns in 52-22 win over Pearl River.

Arch Manning secured high school football bragging rights over his famous uncles Peyton and Eli on Friday night. During a 52-22 win over Pearl River, the senior signal caller became the career passing leader at Newman (New Orleans).

Manning, the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2023, threw for 356 yards and seven scores, bringing his career passing yardage total to 7,395 yards and 101 passing touchdowns.

Committed to play next season at Texas, Arch became Newman’s all-time leading touchdown leader last week by throwing two in a loss to Many. His touchdown total grew to 101 tonight.
When Peyton left Newman in 1993, he was the school’s all-time leading passer with 7,207 yards and 92 touchdowns. That yardage record stood until 1998 when Eli finished his high school football career with 7,389 yards and 89 touchdowns.

Arch entered Friday night’s game against Pearl River with 7,039 career yards — 168 away from Peyton and 350 away from Eli.

He passed Peyton with five minutes left in the second quarter on a 35-yard completion to wide receiver Anthony Jones.

With eight minutes left to play in the fourth quarter, Arch dropped back on third down from the Pearl River 28 and threw the ball into the end zone where Jones was open and caught his second touchdown of the game.

Arch played flawlessly, throwing touchdown after touchdown. Kai Donaldson had three touchdown receptions while Jones and Peter Loop had two each.
