Baseball Recap: Victory Christian Takes a Loss

Victory Christian fell victim to Appalachian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Eagles. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Victory Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelton Strickland, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Victory Christian's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-7-1. As for Appalachian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

While Victory Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
