Football Recap: Lincoln Bashaw Leads Bristol Eastern's Defense on Friday

Bristol Eastern is still winless after their game against Middletown on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blue Dragons. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Bristol Eastern didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Lincoln Bashaw.

Bristol Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Middletown, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Bristol Eastern will host Wethersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middletown, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-6 victory against Edwin O. Smith on the 23rd.
