Basketball Recap: Piedra Vista Comes Up Short

Piedra Vista lost against Cibola back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Piedra Vista Panthers had to suffer through an 85-49 loss at the hands of the Cibola Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Cougars are ranked eighth).

Piedra Vista's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Cibola, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedra Vista will head out to challenge Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cibola, they will take on Rio Rancho at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
