Recap: Brookfield Central Lancers vs. Brookfield Academy Blue Knights        
        
		
            
 The Brookfield Central Lancers can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Wednesday. They came out on top against Brookfield Academy by a score of  62-51. The  victory was just what Brookfield Central needed coming off of a  61-35 loss in their prior  match.
 Brookfield Central was led to victory by  Josie Piurkowski and  Dylan Romero.  Piurkowski  scored 21 points along with nine  rebounds and three  steals, while  Romero  scored 18 points along with nine  rebounds and three  steals.  Grace Luedke was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with nine  rebounds.
 Brookfield Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Madison York, who  scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  York has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Amelia Rigel, who  scored 13 points.
 Brookfield Central's victory  ended a ten-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-12. As for Brookfield Academy, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-6.
 Brookfield Central will look to defend their home court  on Friday against West Allis Hale at 7:00  p.m. As for Brookfield Academy, Brookfield Academy and St. Francis will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
