Volleyball Recap: Piqua Takes a Loss

Piqua was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sidney Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

While Piqua was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Sidney's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Piqua's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Sidney, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Coming up, Piqua will be playing at home against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sidney has already played their next match (against Butler), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
