Basketball Recap: Westwood Skates Past West Florence with Ease

Westwood was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against West Florence on Tuesday. The Westwood Redhawks blew past the West Florence Knights, posting a 69-41 victory. Given the Redhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Knights are ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westwood's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for West Florence, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-20.

Looking ahead, Westwood will host Sumter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Florence, they are taking a road trip to square off against Spring Valley at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
