Mid-Buchanan won the last time they faced Penney and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mid-Buchanan took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-8, 25-15.

Bailey Coman paced Mid-Buchanan's offense, picking up 11 kills. Coman got some help from Myia Dillman and her 28 assists. Camryn Atha and Myla Flinn kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Mid-Buchanan now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Penney, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mid-Buchanan will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mound City at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Penney, they will host Trenton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
