Basketball Game Preview: Clint Lions vs. Andress Eagles

Clint hasn't had much luck against Andress recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Clint blew Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 31-29.

Despite the loss, Clint had strong showings from Vianney Mizcles, who posted four points and six rebounds, and Dashni Hernandez, who earned three points and five boards. Those points were Hernandez's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Andress didn't have quite enough to beat Socorro on Tuesday and fell 38-35.

Clint now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Andress, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Clint lost to Andress on the road by a decisive 41-26 margin when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Eagles' Gianna Gulley, who put up 21 points and five steals.
